Vaccinations
We require updated Rabies Vaccination on all dogs that we service, no exceptions will be made, even with a letter from a veterinarian exempting the pet for medical reason.
All dogs should be vaccinated for rabies at 14 weeks of age, and then again at one year of age. Depending on the local regulations, re-vaccination with rabies vaccine should happen every 1 to 3 years.
Things happen and we want to make sure your family, your pet and we are safe.
Medical Condition
If your pet has a medical condition, we need to be made aware of this and what the condition is, because grooming the pet may make the condition worse and therefore, we may not be able to do any grooming services on this pet.
There are times when we are grooming a pet and we find a medical issue that you the owner have been unaware of, in this case we may need to stop grooming and therefore we will still need to charge you for the time we have spent on your pet and or a travel time charge of $25, it is rare but it can happen. The groomers will always let you know of any issues we find so that you may act on it.
We cannot and do not diagnose any conditions because we are not vets, but we will draw your attention to what we find and may advise that you take the pet to the vet for medical attention.
Even though we use a harness for bathing and grooming we still need to know if the pet has a collapsing trachea. We need to be made aware of all medical issues such as, Seizures, ACL, Luxating Patella, etc. If you know your pet has Moles and or Worts or any lumps or bumps, we need to know so that we are cautious in these areas. It is not a guarantee that we will not hit Moles, Worts, Lumps or Bumps but we do try not to.
Stress
If at any time your pet becomes so stressed that we are unable to finish the groom, we will stop what we are doing, and we will charge you for what we have done and or a travel fee of $25. Our goal is to make the Spa experience as relaxing and stress free as possible.
Senior pets
We want to make sure our senior pets are healthy and safe, so at any point we are unable to work on or finish a senior pet, we will stop what we are doing and charge you for what we have done and or a travel fee of $25.
Matted pets
If your pet is severely matted, we will not de-mat the pet and we may not be able to shave as well without damaging the skin, hurting the pet and it can be very traumatic for the pet and the groomer, therefore we will charge you a travel fee of $25. De-matting is very painful, and stressful to the pet and groomer and may need to be done at a vet for safety reasons.
Aggression
If your pet has a history of aggression, aka, biting and or attacking people and or equipment that we have, we will not do any services on this pet for the safety of the groomer, you and your pet. If the groomer is bitten by the pet, it will be your responsibility as the pet owner/caretaker of the animal for all medical and hospitalization of the groomer and any other medical bills that may arise as a result of the bite/attacking incident in the future.
Bathing/Drying
We must bath and blow dry your pet so that we may get a better cut and or finish on your pet, at this time we may find hidden issues that you are unaware of and therefore you may need to take your pet to the vet and or we may be unable to finish the groom and therefore we will charge you for the bath, dry and or a $ 25 travel fee.
We ask that you not bath and dry the pet as we need to ensure that the pet is clean of debris because of the blades and scissoring we need to do and use, and the pet must be completely dry. Damp hair being cut works at a salon for people but not for dogs. Please do not bath and dry your pet for us, let your pet experience the spa treatment that we do for them.
Set up of bathing and grooming equipment
It takes about 15 to 20 min to set up and the same to take down our equipment.
Traffic area
we need an area free of traffic to bath and groom your pet so that the pet will not try to jump off the table for you or a friend or family member, and noise can be very distracting as well and dangerous with scissors and clippers in hand. Safety is #1.
Grooming/Bathing Area
We can set up almost anywhere to groom, we do have a pop-up groom room that would need to be in a traffic free or little traffic, air vents, and fans, we can groom and bath outside if the weather is nice and safe for the pet and groomer. We do have a portable bathtub that has a drain, so we need to be outside or near a tub for our drain hose to reach, we will not use just cold water to bathe your pet. Note we will not clean the bath water up outside and if grooming outside we are not responsible for cleaning the hair off your yard if the wind is blowing, only the area we are at! We will rinse the tub that the drain hose was draining in and dry the area.
Fans/Air vents
Please, we may need to work away from fans and air vents because it will blow hair away from the drop cloth work area and in other places in your house and will also blow the hair on the pet making it harder for us to groom. We do have a clipper vac that keeps hair vacuumed up so there will be very little to no hair blowing away.
Clean up
We do our best to get all the hair picked up, but we are unable to get every piece of hair, we do use a drop cloth, trash bags and shop vac, but again some hair may get blown or transferred elsewhere by accident. We will not clean your whole house/apartment; we clean only the mess we made in the areas we are doing the bath and groom in.
Cancellations/No Shows
We understand things can happen that are out of your control, but if you must cancel please give us a 24-hour notice so that we are able to move someone from a wait list into your spot. If you are someone that cancels on a regular basis, 2 times in a row, we will require you to pay for your full service as a non-refundable deposit at the time of your scheduling the appointment, if you cancel you forfeit the grooming deposit and we will not book you for any services again. If you are not at home between the time we give you, the groomer will not wait, you will be charged a $50 per pet loss of income fee.
If we arrive at your door for a schedule appointment and you do not answer, you will receive a bill from use for $50 per pet loss of income fee.
Weight
We do have a weight restriction of 35 pounds for the safety of the groomers and your pet. If we get to you and your pet is clearly over 35 pounds and we are unable to groom the pet safely then you will be charged a $50 loss income fee per pet.
Accidents
Even though accidents are very rare, and we take every precaution to keep that from happening, it can happen because of a scare to the pet because of traffic in the home, outside noises, moles, worts, matting, etc. It will be the responsibility of the pet/guardian owner to transport and pay all vet bills and not the responsibility of GreenBrook in home grooming.
Your appointment times
We cannot predict the traffic, weather or the pet we groom before you, we will give you a window of when we think we will be there when we make your appointment, just like Comcast does. For instant, we will be at your home between 8 am and 9 am and someone must be home between that time. We do want to be safe and let all our fur babies get the most out of the Spa experience, just like we will with your fur baby.
Payment
Payment is due at time of service and we accept most forms of payment except checks (No checks will be accepted) We do accept Cash, debit, Visa, Master Card and American Express.
I have read and understand policies and procedures outlined in this form and hereby agree by and will follow.
